If it’s been a little while since you’ve visited us you might be wondering what kind of experience can you expect when you step into our cellar door. Let us give you a preview of what awaits you when you step through our doors.

Our Barossa cellar door is tucked away at the end of Nitschke Road, situated in the calm surroundings of what was originally named Moorooroo Park. Inside the Cellar Door itself our fire will keep you warm during the winter and outdoor seating will have you soaking up the sun in the summer time. Take a short walk through the David Austin rose garden and you’ll come to Jacob’s Creek, a beautiful spot to take a stroll across the grass while our ancient red gums tower over you.

Hackney cellar door

Our cellar door at Hackney provides a getaway from the bustling city. As you enter the gates you’ll find the courtyard offers a fantastic seating area for those sunny days. Walk inside and you’ll immediately feel at home. Uniquely designed interior by Tricia herself, you’ll struggle to decide where to sit as every room offers something different yet all welcomingly comfortable. 

Now what you’re here for, the wine. At both our Barossa and Hackney cellar doors we offer three different flights for you to choose from.

The first being our Wine Flight which will take you through our entire range, from our Rosé to our Grenache, the Cabernets and of course our Shiraz. This flight presents you with an overview of what we have to offer and gives you the opportunity to discover your palate and the kind of wines that appeal to you personally. 
Our uniquely curated Shiraz & Chocolate Flight is a ‘treat yourself’ kind of experience that we’re sure you’ll enjoy. This consists of four Shiraz wines carefully paired with chocolates sourced from Red Cacao located in Stirling, Adelaide Hills. Pairings are as follows:

2018 The Moo Shiraz with 53.8% Dark
Smooth and mellow dark chocolate compliments our classic The Moo Shiraz

2017 Lotties Shiraz with 70% São Tomé & Principe
Lotties intense jammy flavours match well with the rich and fruity flavours of the single origin São Tomé & Principe

2012 Silentium Sparkling Shiraz with 65% Raspberry
Sparkling and raspberries is a match made in heaven in our eyes, the soft texture of the wine is complimented by the sweetness of the raspberries

2018 Dolce Far Niente Rosso Fortified Shiraz with 80% Uganda
The intense sweetness of the Fortified Shiraz perfectly cuts through the earthy and smokey notes of the single origin Uganda

Shiraz & Chocolate Flight

Love cheese? We’ve got you covered with our Cabernet & Cheese Flight. Local cheese, perfectly paired with four of our Cabernets, including a special museum vintage of the Samuel Nitschke. Pairings are as follows:

2016 The Moo Cabernet Franc with Triple Cream
Soft notes of our Cabernet Franc pair perfectly with the smooth creaminess of the Triple Cream from the Barossa Valley Cheese Company

2016 Samuel Nitschke Cabernets with Adel Blue
The tangy flavours of the Adel Blue from La Vera cheese shop located in Newton pair well with the earthy, herbaceous flavours of the Samuel Nitschke

2015 Samuel Nitschke Cabernets with La Dame 
The nutty finish of the La Dame from the Barossa Valley Cheese Company compliments the firm tannin structure of the 2015 Samuel Nitschke

2014 Samuel Nitschke Reserve Cabernets with Alexandrina Vintage Cheddar
The liquorice and vanilla on the palate of the Samuel Reserve perfectly pairs with the slightly caramel flavours of this Vintage Cheddar from Alexandrina

2017 Harries Grenache Shiraz
Our classic 80% Grenache, 20% Shiraz blend is renowned for its easy-drinking balance and unmatched versatility. The 2017 Harries brings a hint of mint to the senses, displaying characteristics of strawberry and quince with a fruity vibrancy on the palate, finally long soft tannins carried by spicy and dry notes finish off this well rounded red.
