Sunday in the Barossa Valley
As our Barossa cellar door is now open on Sundays, we thought we’d share our idea of a perfect Sunday in the Barossa Valley to fill out your day next time you visit.
Our leisurely Barossa Sunday begins with coffee at Darling’s Cafe. If we’re honest, all our days begin with coffee at Darling’s and Sunday is no exception.
Next, swing past our cellar door at Moorooroo Park Vineyards, and enjoy a wine and cheese flight, then take a wander through the David Austen Rose Garden and down to the picturesque banks of Jacob’s Creek.
First Drop Wine’s Cellar Door & Tapas Bar at “The Home Of The Brave”, is your next stop. First Drop is making wines with flavour, texture and a splash of funk; from fruit sourced from unique vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale and Barossa to bring you a diverse, deliciously exciting and thought provoking line up of flavours. A great place to stop for lunch and wine or enjoy a relaxed tasting.
Next head on over to Musque Food and Wine, a relaxed, fun, funky and casual place with a great atmosphere. Enjoy one of their 360+ gins, a craft beer, French Champagne or a few share plates in the bar. Their menu focuses on seasonal produce, constantly changing, creating and evolving to showcase their suppliers produce.
Finally, head out to dinner at The Greenock, a charming little country pub located in the beautiful town of Greenock. Boasting heritage style fixtures, they’ve modernised and restored all the best bits since taking over in 2016. You’ll find menus and drink offerings that showcase the best of the area, with some great contributions from the community too.
You may have noticed that all our Sunday recommendations offer both food and beverages, allowing you to take a relaxed approach, enjoying a bite and/or a drink at your leisure. We hope to see you out for a Sunday in the Barossa Valley soon!
