Planning a day in the Barossa?

We’re firing up our wood oven, think freshly baked sourdough, traditional wood oven pizza, crispy veg and perfect roasted meats (crackling anyone?).

Come hang out with us, chill on the banks of picturesque Jacob’s creek in our ancient stone settlement of barns, stables and cellars all surrounded by stunning gardens. Try some of our premium organic wines, we specialise in classic big Barossa reds.

Our winemaker and chef Wyndham invents mouthwatering pairings to complement his food with his wine and we always have our classic Nutella and Mascarpone calzone’s, a decidedly decadent finish.

Spend the afternoon relaxing in gorgeous surrounds, with great food and fantastic wine. What more could you possibly want from a day in the Barossa?

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make a booking?

No, you do not need to make a booking! We have a few tables by the cellar door and extensive gardens, you’re welcome to set up wherever you like!

Should I bring a picnic blanket?

That is a great idea! Our lawns situated on the banks of Jacobs Creek are a wonderful place to set up for the afternoon.

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

No, we’ve got you covered. There’s pizza for lunch plus we always do a tasting plate with flatbread, dips and olives to snack on. We also have our very own Moorooroo Park Cheese Boxes, easily enough to satisfy 4 people, available in the Cellar Door year round.

What time should I get there?

The Cellar Door is open for tastings from 11:00 and Pizza is available at 12:00, sometimes it pays to be early to beat the rush! 12:00 is a good time to aim for. We usually stop making pizza at about 4:00, and the Cellar Door closes at 5:00.

Do you have gluten free, vegetarian, dairy free or kids options?

Absolutely, we can cater to most intolerances (although we cannot guarantee no traces of allergens), we purchase a limited number of gluten free bases and can always leave components out of the pizzas.
